About Not Quite Reality

Not Quite Reality is a found footage physical media distribution label with the goal to shine a spotlight on hidden gem indie titles, and give them the collector's edition treatment they deserve. I couldn't be more excited to get it off the ground.

Industry experience that will get the job done. I have a long background in graphic design and the creative arts - from filming and editing my middle school's news program, to my 7+ year career as an in-house graphic designer and advertiser. When I decided to combine those skills and interests with my love for found footage movies, Not Quite Reality was born.

Always looking forward. The idea itself has been over a year in the making; it finally came to life in November 2023 when I announced the company's first release, a DVD of 2023's The Who Incident. By the end of April 2024, I expect to have 4 titles out. More movie merchandise and additional titles to be announced in the coming months.

We believe in supporting creative endeavors. Not Quite Reality is a creator-focused company. Without awesome directors making awesome movies, we wouldn't have a product to sell. For that reason, every purchase made on this site gives funds directly back to the creator(s) associated with the title(s).

Quality products by a collector, for collectors. As a huge fan of physical media myself, I know that the niche community of people still buying titles in the age of streaming cares about quality and collectability. For that reason we plan to offer exclusive disc-only bonus features; collectible slipcovers, with a variety of brand-new or iconic artworks; and additional physical goodies like posters, stickers, buttons, postcards, prop replicas, and more. For now, we are launching with made-on-demand burned discs - soon we hope to transition fully to professionally-pressed discs.

I hope you're as stoked about this new venture as I am. The best place to stay up to date with Not Quite Reality announcements and news is our official Facebook page. If this is the type of thing that interests you, I would love if you gave our page a follow! And remember, whatever you do - don't stop filming.
